At the Pathways Institute for Impulse Control, we provide help for people who suffer from the devastating effects of impulse disorders and out-of-control behaviors; such as compulsive shoplifting, stealing, sex addiction and love addiction.  

Our program includes assessment, offering practical tools to stop behaviors, and an investigation into the origins of and contributors to the behaviors, such as unmet needs, trauma, learning and/or attention differences and co-addictions or mood disorders.  

We offer the opportunity for people, and their partners and families, to gain control of their lives, and become free to create a life of deeper meaning, through providing psychotherapy, treatment groups, training and consultation, community education, interface with the legal system, and licensing and sale of our products.

We are a team of inter-disciplinary, licensed mental health professionals and associates who provide this cutting-edge care through our extensive experience and through on-going education, training, research and on-going relationships with experts in the field.  

We accept insurance (we are not on all insurance panels), provide patients with statements in order to request reimbursement, offer sliding scale for patients on a case by case basis with need and are very supportive but do not require participation12-step programs.
