Outreach Teen & Family Services is a non-profit, community-based counseling agency located in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh.  Outreach provides professional, confidential, affordable counseling to young people and their families, with services to address anger management, family problems, school-related issues, depression, anxiety, drug & alcohol, and myriad other issues.  Clients are seen within a short period of time from the initial request for services.

Outreach Teen & Family Services is an invaluable resource to adolescents and families in distress.  We employ 9 part-time counselors who hold a minimum of a Master’s degree,.  These professionals have an average of 15 years of counseling experience with adolescents, ranging from eight to 36 years of experience.  New clients’ specific needs are matched with a counselor’s area of expertise.  Some of the many issues our counselors address include:  abuse issues (physical, sexual, emotional), anger, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, bullying, children of divorce, depression, drug & alcohol abuse, eating disorders, oppositional defiance, peer pressure, self-esteem, self-harm (cutting), stress, and numerous other topics.

Even in challenging economic times, Outreach ensures that young people and their families have resources and services available to them.  Our fees are reasonable, at most only $50/session.  In the case of financial hardship, those fees may be partially or wholly subsidized.  There are no waiting lists, clients are typically seen within one week from initial contact.
