Otherworld is developing a large-scale immersive art experience planned for Columbus, Ohio. The project features more than 50 scenes with interactive art, technology, puzzles, playground elements, and secret passageways inside a 32,000-square-foot space. A multidisciplinary team of over 30 creatives—with backgrounds in museums, installations, haunted attractions, theme parks, and escape rooms—was behind the concept, which was targeted to open in early 2019. The experience aims to invite visitors to freely explore a surreal world blending science fiction and fantasy. The offering targets families and groups of friends who seek a self-guided, interactive narrative rather than a traditional exhibit.
