Orpheus Wines is a young family-owned Santa Rosa winery offering sustainably built, artfully crafted wines that celebrate life and community.  Inspired by the Greek demigod Orpheus, arbiter of music and poetry, Orpheus Wines was created in 2011 out of the blending of passions and talents of a Winemaker, an Artist, and a Visioneer.
Winemaker Marc Krafft brings a multitude of skills and talents to his winemaking process, drawing on years of experience in the wine industry as well as his previous career in the medical field and passions for dance, music, and the culinary arts.  The result is a set of premium, food-friendly wines that delight the senses.
Our business was founded upon three guiding principles:

Artistry ~ Winemaker Marc Krafft listens for, and honors, the melody inherent in each varietal–getting out of the way of the grapes so they can express their fruit.  Art director and acclaimed wire sculptor Steve Lohman has designed exquisite labels that capture the beauty and richness of our wines. If you enjoy the artwork on our bottles, you’ll love wearing it on our 100% cotton T-shirts and sweatshirts

Community ~ by collaborating with organic farmers, joining the chamber of commerce, and serving our wine at local coffee shops and restaurants, we are building Orpheus Wines into a business that brings people together and supports local small business and nonprofits

Sustainability ~ we intend to lead in this realm with innovations in green winery practices, including reusable and recyclable Zork bottle closures and wine in kegs
