Based in Beaumont, Texas, Ohmstede, Ltd. provides end-to-end services for shell and tube heat exchangers in the oil and gas sector. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of these exchangers, offering components such as replacement tube bundles, channels, and shells, along with fabrication and repair work all under one roof. The company emphasizes a single point of accountability to manage the entire project from field work to the shop and back, delivering integrated turnaround and specialty maintenance solutions.

Its customers are operators and facilities in the oil and gas industry seeking turnkey management of heat exchanger projects, from design and fabrication to on-site maintenance and repair. The organization combines manufacturing and field-service capabilities under one organization, reducing coordination complexity for large, multi-location projects in the sector. In 2022, a related Iberville Parish expansion tied to a $10.5 million project aimed to create 23 jobs but reportedly added only nine, and the project was placed under review for compliance with an ITEP agreement.
