The Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam (OBA) operates a network of 29 libraries in Amsterdam, Diemen, and Ouder-Amstel, with the best-known site at Oosterdok near Amsterdam Central Station. It aims to make knowledge, culture, and information accessible to all and to encourage continuous learning, while fostering meeting and involvement within the city and its neighborhoods. The library serves a large community, counting about 174,000 members, attracting nearly 3.8 million visitors annually, and staging around 6,000 activities each year.
