Nostalgic Confections is purveyor of some of the worlds best traditional handmade confections. It is a confluence of old and new, classic and contemporary. We are craftsman of wonderful pantry provisions including truffles, toffee, hard candy, caramels and marshmallow. We are the creators new experiences and the curators of traditional confections. We provide recollections to warm childhood memories and make the best candy ever. With the passing of the last generation of candy makers, there has been a growing void in the confectionery community. The care, craftsmanship and traditional methods of making handmade confections are all but becoming fleeting memories and distant dreams. Nostalgic Confections is the opportunity to fill this gap through its simple business model. There is also another subtle yet very powerful component to the concept - information. Simply put, it is taking the wealth of knowledge that Nostalgic Confections has collected (photos, recipes, tips, tricks, methods and madness) and collectively reaching out to a wildly popular culinary culture including foodies, aspiring chefs and the epicurean creatures of the world. So what’s in a name? The word “nostalgic” or nostalgia can often conjure up memorable points in time for people. The word can provide a longing for “simpler” places, provide recollections to a warm childhood memory or even reflect moments of enchantment. We are going to touch those emotional stirrings, recreate and rekindle those memories as well as provide an opportunity to develop new sweet experiences. Nostalgic Confections is a confluence of old and new, classic and contemporary. It is the opportunity to create new traditions and perhaps a chance to revisit the past. “Nostalgic” so represents our little confectionery project.
