Founded in 2004 by Dr Moffat and Mrs Doreen Zimba, Northrise University began with 50 students and now serves about 600 students across 13 undergraduate programs and one graduate program in Ndola. In a country with widespread poverty and limited access to higher education, the university aims to educate future leaders who stay in Zambia to contribute locally, while teaching students to integrate faith with professional life and to develop critical thinking, discipline, personal responsibility, and character.
