North Georgia EMC is a not-for-profit electric cooperative that delivers electricity to more than 100,000 metering points across seven Northwest Georgia counties, including Catoosa, Chattooga, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Walker, and Whitfield. The utility maintains an extensive distribution network with about 6,400 miles of line, 35 substations, and four area offices to serve its members. Its mission centers on providing a reliable, quality, cost-based electricity supply, guided by public power principles focused on people, safety, business, and integrity. Founded in 1936, North Georgia EMC is based in Dalton, Georgia, and operates as a member-owned energy provider in the region.
