NH LAKES is a nonprofit organization based in Concord, New Hampshire, focused on environmental stewardship of the state's lakes. Its mission is to restore and preserve lake health, aiming for a future where all New Hampshire lakes are clean and healthy and where caretaking of lakes is embedded in living, business, and governance. The group coordinates statewide efforts to protect lakes and support lake stewardship across communities and watersheds. In 2022, NH LAKES introduced LakeSmart, a statewide program to educate the public, assess watershed practices, and acknowledge lake-friendly efforts. In July 2025, NH LAKES recognized leadership in lake stewardship by presenting Kevin Kelly with the John F. Morten Memorial Award at the Lake Kanasatka Watershed Association's annual meeting. The organization operates with a relatively small staff and works with local lake associations and residents to advance its mission across New Hampshire.
