NBC Holdings (Pty) Ltd is a mid-sized financial services firm based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. It is recognized as the first black-owned employee benefits company in the country and helped shape retirement funding by advancing defined contribution funds, a trend that gained momentum in the late 1980s and early 1990s as trade unions sought influence and firms sought the certainty these funds offered. Today the company delivers a broad suite of employee benefit products and services to more than 123 registered pension and provident funds, representing retirement savings for approximately 450,000 members.

Recent news notes two Eswatini-related developments: NBC Consulting Limited expanded its offices in Mbabane, and NBC Holdings is recruiting an intern consultant there. The recruitment activity indicates ongoing capacity-building linked to Eswatini operations. These moves point to a broader regional footprint beyond South Africa.
