The National Association of Scholars (NAS) is a nonprofit organization in the higher education sector headquartered in New York City at 12 East 46th Street, New York, NY 10017. It functions as a membership organization described as a network of scholars and citizens united by a commitment to academic freedom, disinterested scholarship, and excellence in American higher education. Membership is open to both scholars and non-scholars who share the organization's values, and members receive an annual subscription to the quarterly journal Academic Questions.
