The Ministry of Health Oman is the primary public health authority in Oman, providing free treatment to nationals and overseeing a network of more than 200 institutions including primary care centers, secondary hospitals, and tertiary care specialty hospitals. This network is designed to deliver comprehensive care across the country within the wellness and fitness services sector. Based in Masqat, it is a large government health organization employing thousands. As of January 2009, bed capacity exceeded 4,500 and daily patient visits were around 30,000. In April 2025, the ministry selected Trifork US Inc. to develop a Revenue Cycle Management system and integrate it with the National Health Information Exchange, reflecting ongoing modernization of its health information infrastructure.
