The Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, Virginia operates as a public institution dedicated to aviation history, home to one of the world's largest flying collections of World War I and World War II era aircraft. It grew from a private collection started by Gerald and Elaine Yagen and opened to the public in 2008. The campus spans about 130 acres and features a turf runway with viewing areas, and it includes wartime structures that were relocated there, such as the Goxhill Watch Tower and the Cottbus Hangar. Public access and aircraft preservation are supported by volunteers and a dedicated maintenance facility, the Fighter Factory, which keeps aircraft airworthy and enables demonstration flights.
