Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics is an aviation and aerospace component manufacturer based in Wichita, Kansas, at 9400 East 34th Street North. The company provides instruments, avionics and power solutions for general, business and commercial aviation, defense and special missions, as well as advanced air mobility and electric aircraft, and operates one of the largest maintenance, overhaul and exchange programs in the world. It has more than six decades of experience in manufacturing safe and certified products and develops its own designs, including power solutions based on proprietary lithium-ion cell chemistry. The True Blue Power division focuses on next-generation power components such as USB charging ports, wireless chargers, inverters, voltage converters, emergency power supplies and lithium-ion aircraft batteries, including FAA TSO-certified TB17 and TB44 lithium-ion batteries, which were among the first of their kind to receive that certification for engine-start use. The company has expanded its footprint in recent years, including a 28,000-square-foot facility expansion in Wichita announced in 2023 as part of ongoing investment in its operations.
