Kids Kicking Cancer DBA MATIO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that delivers a therapeutic martial arts method—clinically evaluated and compassionately taught—that empowers children with pediatric illness to manage pain, stress, fear, and anxiety.  

At MATIO, our work is focused around two strategic areas: Inpatient and Outpatient programs. Combined we offer our full suite of programming – Sara’s Pediatric Healing Program. It starts at the bedside – in a hospital or clinical setting with our inpatient programming.  & It continues in your community – in an in-person or virtually setting in our community programming.  The MATIO Method is the difference between passive compliance and active participation. 

All services are provided free of charge and are available to children, siblings, and caregivers in partnership with healthcare providers.
