MaRS Discovery District is a Toronto-based urban innovation hub that supports startups in health, cleantech, fintech, and enterprise sectors. Opened in 2005, it has grown into what is described as the world's largest urban innovation hub, aiming to co-locate universities, startups, corporates, and investors in dense innovation districts. Operating within the business consulting and services space, it provides a platform for early-stage ventures to access resources and networks to scale.

Its model has influenced other cities to pursue similar approaches that connect academia, startups, corporates, and investors. In May 2026, MaRS announced expansions of its facilities in Canada and the launch of a cleantech scaling lab, signaling ongoing programmatic growth.
