LRC provides strategic lending solutions for Milwaukee’s underserved markets. We are the only U.S. Treasury-certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) with a focus on housing and commercial real estate in Milwaukee’s central city. 

LRC is uniquely focused on nonprofit and small businesses, many of which are minority-owned. We believe that sustainability is driven when businesses and organizations have access to capital. Through our efforts, borrowers are able to transform city-owned vacant lots and neglected buildings into affordable housing and thriving commercial spaces that ground neighborhoods and spur development.

Since we began in 2003 — and with the support of our investors — LRC has provided over $8 million through more than 60 loans to organizations that created or retained 1,000 jobs.
