Loudoun Hunger Relief is a nonprofit whose mission is to feed the hungry in Loudoun County. As the population of Loudoun County has increased, the number of people struggling to make ends meet has increased and so has the number of families and individuals we help. This past year, LHR directly served about 12,500 individuals through 197,000 visits. In 2025, LHR distributed over 2.7 million pounds of food and served between 700-800 families each week directly, with additional people served through partner agencies. LHR is a food pantry, and operates a full choice free grocery market. We supply perishable and non-perishable food items directly to our neighbors in need. Our food bank partner is the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Food banks supply food pantries with some free donated items and USDA food and also sell food to pantries at a highly discounted price. Feeding America is the national network that includes more than 200 food banks and food rescue organizations throughout the country. LHR is a Feeding America partner pantry. LHR depends on community donations to keep our services operating. Please think of us if you can donate! LHR stands ready to help any Loudoun County, Virginia resident who finds themselves in need of food. Please visit our website for details on how to receive our services. Ultimately, the goal of LHR is to provide support and assistance so that families can live in our community without a need for our services. We have had success in this goal, but new families and individuals are constantly challenged in their lives. Unfortunately, there are those who will always need LHR (for example, the elderly, sick and disabled). We continue our efforts to address the hunger problems of a growing community with rapidly growing needs.
