The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy is a mid-sized nonprofit think tank based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, founded in 1946 as a private operating foundation. It conducts research and develops policy recommendations aimed at improving quality of life through the effective use, taxation, and stewardship of land, addressing economic, social, and environmental challenges. Through education, training, publications, and events, the institute works to connect theoretical insights with practical policy applications for audiences worldwide. Its work targets public sector leaders and policymakers involved in land use, taxation, and community development, providing guidance on how land policy can support governance and equity. In 2026, the organization partnered with the Monrovia City Corporation and the University of Pretoria Public Policy Hub to deliver a five day training program focused on strengthening local government capacity in land administration and property valuation.
