Founded in 2005 by Christopher Wirth and Jeffrey Eldridge, the company utilizes quarter-inch three-ply plywood and laser-cutting technology to create intricate, visually engaging puzzles that include whimsical pieces shaped like plants, animals, and geometric forms. Roughly one-fifth of each puzzle features these unique whimsy elements, adding a distinctive tactile and visual challenge for puzzlers. The business handles design, production, and distribution from its Boulder, Colorado operation, positioning itself within the wooden puzzle segment of the manufacturing industry. The firm serves puzzle enthusiasts who value craft, nostalgia, and the integration of traditional hand-cut puzzle aesthetics with modern manufacturing techniques. A notable recent development includes receiving a People’s Choice award for its wooden puzzles, highlighting recognition within its market.
