JBI Library is a New York-based nonprofit that supports people who are blind, have low vision, or experience print disabilities to engage fully with Jewish life, including culture, education, community, and religious practice. It creates and distributes thousands of Jewish-interest materials in accessible formats—audio, braille, and large print—at no cost to patrons, and provides liturgical texts, customized materials, and educational and cultural programming. The organization also assists groups and organizations in meeting accessibility needs by transcribing and producing tailored texts in braille, audio, and large print while advocating for inclusivity and accessibility. Founded in 1931 and based in New York City, New York, JBI Library has a long history of serving individuals and communities in need. In 2025, the organization appointed Michelle Shapiro Abraham as executive director, effective April 21.
