The Iowa Women’s Foundation is a small nonprofit based in Coralville, Iowa, dedicated to improving the lives of Iowa’s women and girls. It pursues a diversified program that includes research, grantmaking, advocacy, education, and collaboration to address the barriers and needs these communities face. By using research to identify the major obstacles to women’s success, the foundation guides its funding and partnerships toward promoting economic self-sufficiency across the state. Over more than twenty years, it has awarded grants to more than 100 organizations statewide and positions itself as the statewide entity focused on women's economic advancement.

The foundation engages with a network of Iowa-based organizations to implement programs and foster collaboration that supports women and girls. A notable leadership development in 2026 is the appointment of Claudia Schabel as President and CEO, with the role effective April 1, 2026.
