The International Surfing Association (ISA) is the global governing body for surfing and related wave-riding disciplines, recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Headquartered in the La Jolla area of San Diego, California, it oversees competitive activities across traditional board styles and related disciplines such as stand-up paddle racing, para-surfing, bodysurfing, and wakesurfing, in both ocean and flat-water environments. Since its founding in 1964, the ISA has organized world championships across multiple disciplines and supported athlete development through its international federation network.

Its membership comprises national surfing federations from 109 countries across five continents. Leadership includes President Fernando Aguerre, with an executive committee of vice-presidents and an athletes' commission chair. One recent development is the ISA's announcement that Surf City El Salvador will host the 2025 World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championship in November.
