The Indiana Compensation Rating Bureau (ICRB) is a private, non-profit association of all insurers licensed to write workers' compensation coverage in Indiana. It operates as a statutory rating organization under Indiana law, gathering information from member companies to help establish fair and adequate advisory rates. The data collected from these companies is submitted to the Indiana Department of Insurance for review and then shared with member organizations that use the rates or file their own. Beyond its rate-setting duties, the ICRB administers a range of workers' compensation programs, including rules promulgation, experience rating, inspection and classification, assigned risk administration, industry education, and dispute resolution. The organization is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and maintains a relatively small staff. In August 2020, it announced the Countrywide Mega Claims study, a collaborative project with other workers' compensation rating bureaus.
