Since its founding in 2004, the IAABC's mission has been to elevate the profession of animal behavior consulting worldwide. With over 3,500 active members worldwide in 85 countries, the IAABC is a truly international organization focused on supporting its members in their important work, helping them to build sustainable careers, and promoting them to clients in need around the globe.

The IAABC is a founding member of the Joint Standards of Practice and requires all members to agree to a least intrusive, minimally aversive [LIMA] based behavior change strategies. We pride ourselves in our strong code of ethics and our ongoing initiatives to raise the bar of professionalism in animal behavior consulting and animal training.
