I Have A Dream Foundation - New York is a nonprofit organization based in New York City that provides long-term academic support and enrichment to children from low-income communities. It sponsors cohorts of roughly 50 to 75 students, called Dreamers, in under-resourced public schools or housing developments, guiding them from early elementary through high school. The program blends tutoring, mentoring, and college preparation with experiential learning across the arts, employable skills, healthy living, and community service, and guarantees tuition assistance for graduates. The objective is to boost academic performance, social development, and a college-ready mindset to improve future opportunities for participants.

Operating in New York City, IHDF-NY offers a structured, year-round approach within the education administration programs sector, rather than isolated interventions. Dreamers have an 88% high school graduation rate, compared with the city-wide average of 71%, a figure that includes students from all socioeconomic backgrounds; IHDF-NY works exclusively with low-income neighborhoods where disparities are greater. The organization emphasizes volunteer involvement to expand its reach and services. It is based in New York City and functions as a small- to mid-sized nonprofit.
