Humane Indiana is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1941, with subsidiaries serving Lake and Porter Counties in Indiana. It operates multiple facilities, including an administrative office in Highland, a shelter and adoption center in Munster, a veterinary clinic, a resale shop, and a wildlife rehabilitation and education center in Valparaiso. The organization cares for more than 4,000 dogs and cats annually, plus nearly 3,000 injured or orphaned wildlife from over 21 Indiana counties.
