Small but nimble HLB Transportation is a small to mid-sized, Dallas-based carrier with a history dating to 1989 and a focus on airfreight integration. This suggests a potential fit for shippers needing flexible, personalized service and direct access to management for responsive problem solving, a selling point for low-volume but high-value accounts.

Flexible service mix The company offers full-service transportation and spot service to supplement a client’s own fleet, indicating opportunities with shippers seeking outsourced logistics solutions, multimodal coordination, or urgent capacity during peak seasons.

Relationship oriented HLB emphasizes long-term relationships, competitive pricing, superior service, and unmatched flexibility, signaling opportunities to upsell additional lanes, recurring contracts, or value-added services such as dedicated capacity or integrated transportation management.

Local leadership Locally domiciled ownership with active management availability can be leveraged to position HLB as a hands-on partner for regional manufacturers or distributors requiring quick executive access, rapid issue resolution, and transparent communication.

Growth potential With revenue in the mid-range and a lean employee base, there's a path to scalable growth through targeted outbound efforts to mid-market shippers within or near Texas, especially those with airfreight or time-sensitive distribution needs seeking reliable regional support.
