Harvestone Low Carbon Partners is a midwestern biotechnology enterprise focused on biofuels. The company owns and operates three biorefineries: Blue Flint, located near Underwood, North Dakota, with a capacity of 73 million gallons per year and in operation since 2007; Dakota Spirit, near Spiritwood, North Dakota, producing 75 million gallons per year and begun operations in 2015; and Iroquois Bio Energy Company in Rensselaer, Indiana, with 50 million gallons per year, operating since 2007. Through these assets, HLCP participates in renewable fuels production and works with partners to advance the energy transition, while aiming to create value for local producers and support community prosperity. The company is based in Underwood, North Dakota, in the Midwest, and maintains a small-to-mid-sized workforce. In late 2025, HLCP expanded its asset base through the acquisition of assets from Otter Tail Power Co. and obtained a permit to purchase electricity from Otter Tail to support emissions-capture efforts at an ethanol facility. Earlier, HLCP broadened its footprint in 2022 by acquiring Ibecethanol and the interests of Iroquois Bio Energy Company (IBEC).
