HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, operates as a public two-year institution within the higher education sector and is the largest of Pennsylvania's 15 community colleges. Based in Harrisburg, it maintains campuses in Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York, with online options, and serves about 12,000 students. The college offers roughly 100 programs for career preparation and transfer, including associate degrees, certificates, and diplomas, delivered through in-person, online, and hybrid formats, with a focus on workforce development and continuing education. Its primary audience includes learners pursuing practical credentials for employment or further study, as well as workers seeking new skills through non-degree training. The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit established in 1985, raises private and corporate support to fund scholarships, program innovation, equipment, and facilities that enhance the college's offerings. In 2026, SCPa Works announced a partnership with HACC to expand access to CNC machining training across the region.
