GUiSHEM is a small design studio based in the United States led by Guillermo Jop, whose career blends textile craft with couture design. Jop's education includes studies at NC State, Polimoda, and Central Saint Martins, and his professional background spans work with brands in Europe and New York. Founded in 2005, the label later saw Jop serve as Head Designer at Nylontex Internacional in Guatemala, where he helped launch Julie France Body Shapers in the U.S. while continuing to design couture under GUiSHEM.

GUiSHEM has engaged with the Latin American couture scene and, in 2008, introduced a ready-to-wear line for Fall 2009 focused on cocktail and eveningwear, built on innovative draping and pattern-cutting. Its clientele comprises fashion-conscious individuals seeking refined gowns and related pieces, with the US as its base for production and operations.
