Greater Hudson Heritage Network operates as a statewide service organization in New York, supporting interpretation, collections care, and the conservation of objects across museums, historic sites, archives, and libraries. It provides professional development, training programs, webinars, hands-on workshops, web-based resources, technical assistance, and grant opportunities to help institutions safeguard their collections. In partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts, it administers the NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Treatment Grant Program, which funds conservation work by professional conservators as well as preservation supplies and assessments. Based in Elmsford, New York, the organization serves a mid-sized regional audience and seeks to advance professional standards, build capacity, and foster a network of stewards of regional history and culture. In January 2025, GHNHN awarded a grant to Bowne House Historical Society to conserve a 19th-century sampler.
