Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that coordinates the activities and programs of the Girl Scouts within seven counties of the lower Hudson Valley, New York. It serves a large membership of girls and adult volunteers, with a focus on developing leadership, entrepreneurship, and community involvement through a structured program centered on girl-led activities such as the longstanding cookie program. The council operates out of Eastchester, New York, and supports activities across Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester counties, positioning itself as the largest Girl Scout council in New York State. Its activities are organized around youth development, outdoor education, and service, serving a broad community network of families and volunteers who participate in and support Girl Scout programs. A recent collaboration with the Palisades Center highlights ongoing community partnerships that help sustain and expand its program reach.
