Based in Tucker, Georgia, Georgia Electric Membership Corp. (Georgia EMC) serves as the statewide trade association for Georgia's electric membership cooperatives, providing leadership and unity through advocacy, education and communications. Georgia's 41 EMCs, along with their generation and transmission partners, supply electricity and related services to about 5 million people—nearly half of the state's population—across roughly 73 percent of Georgia's land area.
