Georgetown University Press publishes scholarly books and journals to support the university’s academic mission and to serve a worldwide readership. Its peer‑reviewed works span five areas—bioethics; international affairs and human rights; languages and linguistics; political science, public policy and public management; and religion and ethics—produced with strong editorial and production quality. The press issues roughly forty new books each year and maintains an active catalog of about 600 titles, with many publications available electronically and in educational formats. It traces its beginnings to 1964 when it operated as part of the School of Languages and Linguistics, reflecting a long-standing commitment to addressing complex questions. Based in the Washington, DC area, Georgetown University Press serves scholars, researchers, and libraries worldwide as a producer of peer‑reviewed academic content. A recent development notes a collaboration with Bounceback LLC that began in 2024, illustrating ongoing partnerships to broaden its educational impact.
