Gallagher Animal Management is a farming-focused company rooted in New Zealand, originally founded in the early 1930s after Bill Gallagher Senior designed an electrical pulse-triggered fence to deter a horse from using the family car. What emerged was the world’s first electric fence system, and the business has since grown into a family-owned enterprise rooted in long-standing values. Today the company operates globally, with offices across New Zealand, Australia, Europe, North America, Chile, and South Africa, and a presence in more than 100 countries. It is headquartered at 181 Kahikatea Drive, Frankton Junction, in the Waikato region. Gallagher’s offerings combine fencing hardware with software to create connected, customizable ecosystems that help customers protect animals and land while working more efficiently and sustainably. The company serves farmers and landowners seeking reliable, integrated solutions and maintains a sustainability framework that guides its decisions toward environmental and social responsibility.
