The Flux Foundation is a non-profit arts organization. Our mission is to create community by engaging people in designing and building large-scale public art. We see art is a catalyst for community, education, collaboration and empowerment. Our installations create a sense of space, belonging, and participation. We enlist the participation of volunteers and partner with local artists and community organizations to realize these works of art. We are committed to site specificity and relevancy. To find this we look to the natural landscape, history and cultural influences of a place to inform design and materials. Anyone can participate in any level of the organization regardless of skill level or experience; the Flux Foundation exists to provide people with the chance to discover their own capacity as artists and as leaders.
