The Romanian Football Federation is the independent governing body for football in Romania, overseeing a wide range of competitions from senior men’s leagues to youth, women’s, futsal, and beach soccer. It provides organizational structure and oversight for national tournaments such as League 2, League 3, the Romanian Cup, and the Romanian Supercup, as well as development programs across different levels of the sport. Based in București, the federation serves clubs, players, and fans within the Romanian football ecosystem, aiming to manage and promote the sport in a standardized and competitive environment. Since 2014, Razvan Burleanu has led the organization as president, guiding governance and strategic initiatives for Romanian football.

In recent developments, the federation has expanded its digital and commercial footprint, launching an updated official mobile app to deepen fan engagement with Romania’s national teams and announcing partnerships to broaden its reach, including collaborations related to team apparel and public-facing initiatives. These moves reflect a broader effort to modernize operations and foster broader participation and visibility for Romanian football beyond traditional competition administration.
