Fat Hill Brewing operates a 7-barrel craft brewery based in Mason City, Iowa, which opened in December 2016. The taproom and brewing facility occupy a historic building at 17 N. Federal Avenue, offering sixteen taps and seating for about 140 patrons, and it hosts live music and other events. Founders Jake Rajewsky and Molly Angstman oversee the operation—Rajewsky as brewer and general manager, Angstman as marketing and events manager—supported by a small local team; since opening, the brewery has produced more than a hundred distinct beer styles, with core offerings including a Blonde Ale, American wheat, a robust porter, an IPA, and a Scottish ale. Beyond beer, the taproom sells pints, flights, crowlers, growlers, and kegs on request, and maintains a busy calendar of events that includes workshops and other activities. The schedule features regular monthly meetups such as a book club, a writing group, and a knitting club. In 2022 Fat Hill Brewing was recognized with the Spirit of Tourism Award for its contributions to Mason City's tourism and related opportunities.
