Fairfax State Savings Bank has been located on Vanderbilt Street in Fairfax, Iowa, since being chartered in 1924. Celebrating our 100 year anniversary, there have been only three CEO's of Fairfax State Savings Bank, John L. Krall, David C. Neuhaus and the current  President/CEO - Patrick Slater.

The original building that housed the bank was built in 1900. A new building was built in 1964 and renovated in 1998. This modernization brought cutting edge technology to the customers of Fairfax State Savings Bank. With the addition of our Amana branch, Bankhaus in 2016 and expansion to Kingston Village in 2022, the bank continues to grow in the Corridor.

In an era of mergers and acquisitions, Fairfax State Savings Bank has been able to remain Fairfax State Savings Bank, while maintaining a stable financial environment. Our assets now exceed $260 million.
