Eastside Community Network is a civic and social organization based in Detroit, Michigan. For more than three decades it has engaged residents in planning and development efforts, emphasizing resident-led planning, community development, youth programming, green infrastructure, and neighborhood stabilization. The Lower Eastside Action Plan has been a central framework for these efforts and has earned national recognition for community empowerment. The organization operates with a staff of several dozen and works to mobilize residents and partner organizations to improve parks, commercial corridors, and public spaces in the Lower Eastside. In 2026, ECN Detroit joined with Rise Higher Detroit and other partners to conduct canvassing across community spaces and venues to engage residents.
