ManufacturingArizona, United States51-200 Employees

Dansons is a Scottsdale, Arizona-based manufacturing company with 51-200 employees that produces pellet fuel and pellet grills, notably under the Pit Boss brand. The company was founded in 1999 by Dan Thiessen and his sons, starting from converting sawmill waste into energy and evolving from horse and animal bedding to its current product lines. It grew as Pit Boss grills and pellet fuel gained national brand recognition and through partnerships with national retailers to develop the pellet grill category. In 2023, Dansons was acquired by W. C. Bradley Co., a global diversified holding company headquartered in Columbus, Georgia. The acquisition placed Dansons within W. C. Bradley’s portfolio of outdoor consumer product businesses, reflecting its role in manufacturing grills and related products.
