The Cucamonga Valley Water District is a retail water provider serving the City of Rancho Cucamonga in the Inland Empire. It delivers water to nearly 200,000 customers across Rancho Cucamonga and portions of Fontana, Ontario, and Upland, as well as some unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. The district imports, treats, and manages its water supply and also maintains the sewer lines throughout its service area. As a mid-sized utility, CVWD maintains a workforce focused on water and sewer operations within its service region. In March 2026, CVWD partnered with Millennia Defense to provide Active Shooter Response and Stop the Bleed training.
