The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation acts as the government authority for the Colville people in northeastern Washington, based in Nespelem. It governs about 9,500 enrolled members through a council consisting of 14 Colville Business Councilmembers. Although the Colville Reservation covers roughly 1.4 million acres, fewer than half of its members reside on the reservation. In addition to governance, the tribe engages in regional collaboration and infrastructure initiatives, such as expanding facilities into Chelan and installing electric vehicle charging stations.
