Concept2, Inc. is a sporting goods manufacturer that specializes in sport-based ergometers, including the RowErg, SkiErg, BikeErg, and StrengthErg. The company traces its origins to 1976, when the Dreissigacker brothers began making composite racing oars in the back of a bread truck, and it introduced the Model A RowErg in 1981. Headquartered in Morrisville, Vermont, Concept2 sells directly to customers to eliminate the middleman and provide value.
Its products serve rowers and conditioning enthusiasts, as well as athletic programs that use ergometers for training and testing. In 2025, Concept2 announced a partnership with the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation to support the tactical community with Erg equipment grants.
