Common Ground Speaker Series is a parent education consortium on the San Francisco Peninsula. It curates a program of speakers, topics, and events aimed at informing, engaging, and inspiring families and educators. Based in San Mateo, California, it hosts events at various public venues along the Peninsula and runs activities for parents, heads of schools, and school counselors.
Now in its 18th season, the organization began in 2002 with eight member schools and has grown to represent more than 10,000 families across thirty member schools from Hillsborough to San Jose. The operation is volunteer-managed and led by representatives from member schools, emphasizing a collaborative forum for learning, strategy, and community among families, schools, and mental health professionals.
