The City of Rexburg is America’s Family Community and home to BYU-Idaho, two hours southwest of Yellowstone National Park. Family comes in many forms so we don’t seek to define the family. The city offices handle tax, zoning, legal, economic development, utilities, community programming, and other financial and administrative services for the community. The Rexburg government is operated through a Mayor/Council system. The city was incorporated in 1883.
