Children's National Hospital is a nonprofit pediatric academic health system based in Washington, D.C., founded in 1870 to help every child grow up stronger. It ranks among the top 10 pediatric hospitals nationally across evaluated specialties and has earned Magnet recognition four times in a row for nursing and patient care. The system includes a dedicated research and innovation campus opened in 2021 and hosts the Children’s National Research Institute alongside the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation.
