Cheyenne Frontier Days, founded in 1897, is an entertainment organization anchored by the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It attracts top professional rodeo cowboys and cowgirls who compete for more than $1 million in cash and prizes. In addition to the rodeo, the event features behind-the-chutes tours, trick riding, a wild-horse race, a Native American Village, an old frontier town, a chuck wagon cook-off, pancake breakfasts, an art show, a carnival midway, an air show, top-name entertainment, professional bull riding, and a series of parades. The program provides a broad western-themed festival experience through competitive sport, cultural displays, and family-oriented activities, and it takes place each summer during the last full week in July. The organization is based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and operates as a mid-sized entertainment provider with a long-standing regional footprint. A recent development is the 2025 launch of a virtual reality app, developed in partnership with West Edge, to bring the event to audiences beyond the live celebration.
